B2B appointment setting, qualified before it is booked
An appointment is only worth having if the person turns up and the conversation can go somewhere. Lets Elevate sets B2B appointments against criteria agreed with you before the campaign starts - company profile, role, need, timescale, next step - and books only when they are met. Across our campaigns, around 90% of booked appointments go ahead, and on our largest campaign 72% of them went to proposal.
How the criteria work
There is no standard Lets Elevate definition of a qualified appointment, because there is no standard client. At the start of your campaign we agree the fields that matter for you. Depending on the campaign that might be:
-
Target company profile
industry, size, geography
-
The decision-maker or job role
-
Current supplier, solution or arrangement
-
A relevant need, challenge or requirement
-
Contract, renewal or review dates
-
Timescale, or an upcoming project
-
Current spend or budget, where relevant
-
Qualification questions specific to your proposition
-
Agreed exclusions
-
Genuine interest in exploring your solution
-
A clearly agreed next step
Those are examples. Some campaigns need three of them; some need all eleven and more. The point is that the standard is yours, written down, and applied to every appointment.
Why appointments go ahead
The email arrives first. The call follows, with someone who has read it. The appointment is agreed on the call with a specific next step, and confirmed. That sequence is why roughly nine in ten booked appointments are held - a historical average across our campaigns, not a promise, and one we will help you understand for your own sector at the start.
Why appointments go to proposal
Because they were qualified against your criteria, not against a definition designed to make a number look good. On a twelve-month technology campaign, 72% of the 127-plus appointments we set went on to a proposal. That is the figure we would ask any agency for before signing, and it is the one most cannot give you.
When volume is the wrong target
Not every campaign should be measured on how many appointments it produces. On a nine-month campaign for an industrial automation provider the brief was the opposite: fewer conversations, at a scale of organisation where a single project was worth a year of smaller ones. The qualification criteria were written for value rather than volume, and the appointment count was never the measure.
What happens when one falls short
We review it with you against the agreed criteria and take the appropriate action. That commitment, in full, is on /quality-commitment/.
What you receive
Each appointment is handed over with the company, the person, what was said, why now, and the agreed next step, in your CRM or in a format your team can use straight away. Prospects who are interested but not ready are tracked and followed up rather than lost.
FAQ
Questions
What counts as a qualified appointment?
Whatever we agree with you before the campaign starts. The criteria are written down - typically company profile, role, need, timescale and an agreed next step - and every appointment is qualified against them before it is booked.
What happens if an appointment is cancelled?
Around 90% of our booked appointments go ahead. Where one is cancelled we work to rebook it, and where an appointment falls outside the agreed criteria we review it with you under our Quality Commitment.
Do you offer a replacement guarantee?
We do not publish a blanket replacement policy, because a single rule cannot fit every client. We agree what quality looks like with you at the outset and hold ourselves to it throughout the campaign.
How many appointments a month can I expect?
It depends on your sector, your proposition and the size of your addressable market. We will give you a realistic range at the start rather than a headline number, and on some campaigns the right number is deliberately small.
